Experience with osCommerce Credit Class/Gift Vouchers/Discount Coupons Contribution

Recently we have successfully installed a big (and one of the most importants) contribution in an osCommerce store. It is the Credit Class/Gift Vouchers/Discount Coupons (version 5.21) Contribution.

This is an experience to us as this is the first time we did this. We have faced some problems during the installation. We successfully solved that all. The contribution itself had some (like in 4/5 places) bugs. We decided that we would share the problems with solutions very soon. That will help lots people (especially webmasters) to fix their store.

Alert 404 – Our New osCommerce Contribution

We have released a new osCommerce contribution named “Alert 404“. The purpose of this contribution is to replace 404 error pages by an alert page. So whenever a bad page request comes up, this fancy alert page will appear instead of a typical 404 page by your browser.

Custom One Page Checkout for osCommerce

Recently we have developed a simple one step checkout in an osCommerce store. The main purpose of this checkout is to ease the life of customers who don’t have time to create account, put billing info, shipping info and then checkout. Our one step checkout process takes only the most essential information in a single page form. Once you put the information and hit the submit button – our system (1) creates account against the provided information, (2) generates email for the customer, (3) initializes the address, payment and shipping information in SESSION. If the submission has no errors, the customer is redirected to our customized checkout page which deals with all submitted information.

The one step checkout process is now supporting sevaral payment and shipping methods. Payment methods like Paypal, Credit Card, GS Pay and eSELECTplus Moneris are tested with this.
